All Wrapped Up

It's been a long time...

My sick little guy has wanted nothing other than to be cuddled and held. His poor tummy just hasn't felt very good. I wore him on my back much of this morning and he was so content. It's been a long time since he's been willing to ride back there without us being out and about. It felt good to have my baby boy on my back again snuggling into the back of my neck. I love the closeness of having him in a wrap on my back or front, sharing our warmth, feeling his sick body relax into contended peacefulness knowing that he is safe next to his mommy. I love that little guy!

The wrap that I am wearing is a Sky Blue Indio Didy. It originally held dear little Grace and I have the privilege of using it to hold my child. What a beautiful history this wrap holds!

  1. Hi and Thank you! You see after reading this post last week I decided that my nine month old son may be too big for the carrier I had when he was a newborn but that I can still wear my baby! So I went on a search to see what I could do at home myself and now have a very happy baby on my back. Thank you again!

  2. PippaD,

I'm glad you found something that worked for you and your baby! I love wearing my baby even though he's not quite a baby anymore (20 months old!). I'm curious about what carrier you ended up with.

  3. I ended up finding a tutorial on here... http://magiccityslingers.wordpress.com/ and made one from a bed sheet!

I then found someone on facebook who had made one and she told me where she got directions from (http://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/Baby/sling.html) so am aiming to make one soon!

  4. Wow, from a bedsheet! What a great idea!

I'd love to hear about how it goes when you make the next one.
